TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY:
1. Plan for refreshments (bonus points for using a fellow Chamber member to cater food!). 2. Be strategic about time of day by avoiding rush hour times, evenings, and weekends. The most successful ribbon cutting ceremonies tend to be around the lunch hour. 3. Invite clients, neighboring businesses, friends, and family. 4. Choose a door prize or give-away. 5. Welcome guests and make them feel comfortable. If you have a store front or office, give tours! 6. Be prepared to speak to the crowd briefly about your business and introduce your staff. 7. Share on social media. |
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be a member in good standing with the Central Hillsborough County Chamber of Commerce. 2. The Chamber will provide one Ribbon Cutting Ceremony per year at no additional charge. You may request an additional ceremony within the year at a cost of $99.00. 3. Please allow a minimum of two weeks' notice for requesting a ribbon cutting date to allow for successful planning, marketing, and invitations. 4. The Chamber cannot guarantee an evening or weekend date request as it will depend upon staff availability outside of normal business hours. WHAT THE CHAMBER PROVIDES FOR YOUR RIBBON CUTTING: 1. Special invitations will be sent via email to all Chamber members 2. Your event will be promoted on social media 3. CHCC staff will conduct the ceremony 4. Giant scissors 5. Blue ribbon 6. Special Proclamation 7. Confetti (biodegradable) 8. Staff will take pictures of the event |
