Teaching to Excellence

The Central Hillsborough County Chamber of Commerce annually hosts the special Teaching to Excellence Event, dedicated to honoring the hard work and dedication of our community’s educators. At this heartwarming event, teachers are celebrated through generous donations of school supplies from vendor members, engaging activities, and recognition of outstanding educators.

Teaching to Excellence is the annual Chamber of Commerce Event dedicated to honoring new teachers in the community.  It is a vibrant and heartwarming occasion that fosters collaboration between local businesses and educational institutions.  Teachers and administrators will arrive at the following designated times:

        High School Teachers and Administrators - 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM
        Middle School Teachers and Administrators - 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM
        Elementary Teachers and Administrators - 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM

The event officially begins with a warm welcome from the Chamber of Commerce President & CEO,  Jeff Campbell.  

Chamber Business Members will have tables throughout the venue, each stocked with a variety of school supplies.  Each teacher will receive a tote bag in which to carry their supplies. Select Resource Tables will be set up by Member Educational Organizations and Nonprofits with information about their services.

Teachers will also receive a raffle ticket with an opportunity to win a fabulous gift basket donated by Member Businesses.  

This Chamber of Commerce Event not only supplies teachers with the materials they need for a successful start to the school year, but also strengthens the bond between the business community and local schools, ensuring a supportive environment for education and educators to thrive.

The Teacher Appreciation Event is a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude, support our teachers with much-needed supplies, and recognize the exceptional contributions of our Teacher of the Year honorees.
